I am interested in biodiversity monitoring across scales, including how businesses are impacting nature. Identifying high quality metrics can allow financial markets to integrate this information for investments, helping to shift capital towards more sustainable businesses and reducing the economy’s impact on the biosphere. In my DPhil, I aim to uncover divergence between metrics for the same aspects of biodiversity, caused by conceptual, methodological, and data differences, which has implications for several aspects of the Global Biodiversity Framework, particularly Goal A and Target 15. I have an academic background in ecology, biogeography, and environmental economics, as well as professional financial experience as an analyst for Osmosis Investment Management.
